For many children with autism, the world is over-stimulating. Bright lights and loud noises can send a child on the autism spectrum into a sensory meltdown. Having a place to escape the harsh stimuli of the world can help a child reset and feel calm. The talented team at November Designs will transform a room in the home of one our Imagine A Way families into a specially designed sensory retreat.
With input from the family and the child’s therapists, designers will create a room individually tailored for the child. This may include soft lighting, ceiling mounted swings, or a nook where the child can retreat when chaos threatens to ruin their day.
The winner of this item will participate in the selection of the family to receive this wonderful gift.
